South Sudan Potential Land Degradation Index (May - Sep 2015)

The product was generated through the MESA project and shows the potential levels, severity and extent of land degradation in South Sudan for the period May - Sep 2015 at a spatial resolution of 1km. Data used as model input include; NDVI from PROBA V with 1Km resolution, LULC from Glob-cover with 300m resolution, Rainfall from FEWSNET RFE at 8Km resolution, Soil from HWSD with 1Km resolution, Slope from SRTM with resolution of 90m, Livestock population from FAO at 300m resolution and Human population from World-pop at 100m resolution. A model built in ArcGIS was used to develop the product.
